“Breaking Barriers: Inclusive Menstrual Health Management”

Community outreach program

Exciting News!
We are thrilled to announce the successful delivery of our latest batch of reusable sanitary Pads to our school going girls at Kisowozi Primary school in Namutumba district. This marks a significant milestone in our mission to promote sustainability and provide accessible menstrual hygiene products for all.
These eco-friendly pads not only reduce waste but also offer a comfortable and reliable alternative for menstrual care. By choosing reusable, we are taking a step towards a cleaner planet and empowering individuals with cost-effective and sustainable options.
We also had the opportunity to discuss the menstrual hygiene management with the teachers and over 130 parents of the young girls and other stakeholders where the young girls highlighted the challenges they face which include:
1. lack of water and water source for use during menstrual periods
2. lack of enough pit latrines where the school with the total enrollment of 1397 pupils have only one 5 stance pit latrine in an alarming state yet being shared by both boys and girls and also with their teachers.
3. lack of incinerator
4. lack of enough desks among others.
We also stressed the role and involvement of boy child and fathers in providing a conducive and supportive environment to our girls during and after menstrual periods
A huge thank you to our dedicated team and supportive community for making this possible. Together, we are making a difference, one towel at a time. 💪🏼🙌🏽
